- external modem (Maxtech makes the GVC brand), and again have had *no*
- problems with it at all, although I don't use the Fax capabilities.

- Byte (June 1995) conducted a review of 28.8 modems, and recommended the
- MaxTech external 28.8 as Byte's Best for under $400. In my opinion, you
- have *not* wasted your money. Some people seem to loathe such reviews,
- but offer no such comparisons to their favorite manufacturer. Given a
- choice between such people's opinions and Byte's reviews, I choose to go
- with Byte's reviews since the results are documented. But that's just me.
